The sash is fabricated from 6mm toughened glass suspended on 2.5mm stainless steel cables and counterbalanced weights. The sash handle is of an aerodynamic design to ensure minimum leakage from the edge of the sash.
The internal chamber is designed such that all surfaces have a minimum friction coefficient thus preventing unwanted turbulence and so preventing potential negative containment. The front aerofoil promotes purging of the worksurface even at low transport velocities.
Both top influx baffle and rear back baffle are simple to remove, enabling relatively straightforward servicing and maintenance.
All the Air-Logic range of Fume Cupboards are fitted with 55W fluorescent luminaires, achieving more than the required 400LUX output. Control of the light switch is via a front fascia mounted MK range switch.
The electrical services are pre-wired in the factory in accordance with BS7671:1994. Each Fume Cupboard carries a certificate of conformity to verify elecrical compliance.
If electrical socket outlets are fitted then these will be wired as part of a ring so that multiple banks of Fume Cupboards can be looped together.
Mains connection to the Fume Cupboard is 240V either ring or radial directly into the main junction box located at the top of the Fume Cupboard.
Electrical sockets can be interfaced with the airflow monitor, so that in the event of airflow failure, all power to the sockets will be isolated.
Services provided on the Fume Cupboard will be plumbed in flexible stainless steel pipe
Front service connections can be easily accessed via the removable front service panel.
Service connections will be terminated to the rear of the Fume Cupboard for connection to the mains.
A rectangular slot is provided for the exhaust take-off.
